Do you want to become the best motivational speaker in the Philippines? Or do you want to help people get what they want in life?
It is easy to believe that you can be both when a motivational speaker says so.
I am now at the Puerto Princesa International Airport. I was in El Nido for three days. Am a bit tired.
A month ago, someone asked me how to become the best motivational speaker. Then, another one, just yesterday, asked how to become a paid speaker.
The latter said that he started his motivational speaking career five years ago and he felt like he never left the starting line.
The former asker joined an association of professional speakers but decided not to renew his membership because he was not getting the promised benefits. He found that some members of the association have claimed the title “best motivational speaker in the Philippines” and not a single one impressed him.
As am still waiting for my plane to arrive, I decided to share with you my dear readers the four ways motivational speakers in the Philippines got started.
This is a generalization and I don’t think of any particular speaker while writing this piece.
The first method works like a scam. But it works.
Call yourself the best motivational speaker in the Philippines. Then, massively market yourself as such. Tell people about it everywhere.
If you have a website, make it the title of your website. If you want you can even buy the domain bestmotivationalspeakerinthephilippines.com. This is very long but the search engine loves this. You don’t even need to be an SEO hacker to be on top.
You may sound big-headed to some people. That’s okay. They are not your audience.
Your audience is those who will search for “best motivational speaker in the Philippines” and who will be too happy to find you.
They’ll believe every claim you will make about yourself. They expect you to make big claims because you are the best.
I am not joking.
Many people voted into office those politicians who have promised the eradication of our national problems in 3 to 6 months. Never mind that not one of these politicians had done one significant change for a city in decades.
Remember, google won’t verify if you really are the best motivational speaker in the Philippines. It will rank you well because that’s your claim.
You may also claim that you are the most entertaining comedian speaker. Or the best magician speaker. Or the best motivational speaker of your generation bar none.
This is the fastest way of getting paid as a motivational speaker.
There is a better way than the first. A bit more difficult but this surely works.
Be perceived as the best motivational speaker in the Philippines.
How to do this?
Use the first method above, then create visual proofs so your prospect will convince themselves you are the best.
You can do this without doing the first method but you will be limiting yourself.
Write books. If you want you can write books in 30 days. Heck, if you want you can write five to ten books in a year.
You may also paraphrase the classics. There are books published in the 1920s to 1950s which are real gems. If you get to read some of these books, you will find that many self-help books today are regurgitated ideas.
One author made more money by including Bible verses to his tagalized version of the Science of Getting Rich. He is well-known in the Philippines but I won’t tell you who.
Don’t worry about publication. You can have them in PDF format.
When people see that you have written ten books, they will start to believe that you are the best motivational speaker in the Philippines.
Why not. The very title of your blogs say so. You have written ten books. Look 99.9999% of people wouldn’t be able to write a book in a lifetime. But you will have written ten books. And that will make you believable, even extra special.
Don’t worry if there is nothing much to write.
Your prospective customers, those who will believe your claim that you are ” the best motivational speaker in the Philippines” will not bother to read your book.
It is enough that they can see the titles of your book.
If you think that this is insane, please take note that some motivational speakers worldwide can publish a book every quarter.
You can hire ghostwriters for ten thousand pesos. Just tell them your topic and how many pages you want.
You can also post videos on Youtube.
Use titles like “The Funniest Motivational Speech Ever” or “This Filipino Motivational Speaker Can Stop Earthquakes”. These titles will give you 10k or even 100k views.
You have a big advantage if you’ll do this. Many motivational speakers do not have a website. They won’t claim that they are the best. They have not written a book. They don’t have videos that made people laugh.
Since you belong to the very few who have done all these, your prospective audience has no other choice but to believe you.
This method alone can make you charge 20k an hour.
You may not get into the big leagues, but who cares. You only wanted to be a paid speaker.
You want people to believe that you are the best motivational speaker in the Philippines. You are not aiming to be a John Maxwell, Les Brown or Tony Robbins.
Method 2 can do this for you.
I want you to rest for a while.
Air Asia has just arrived. I will stop now.
If you want to learn methods 3 and 4, you may subscribe to Impact Speaker’s Gameplan. You will be the first one to know when I am done the writing.

About methods 3 and 4.
Please be warned though that methods 3 and 4 are not like the first two. They are from different mindsets.
And these methods may alter your way of thinking. So, if you are happy with the first two methods, that’s okay.
But if you want to be useful to others, methods 3 and 4 is for you. (Click here to get updates.
See you on the flip side.
